£100 off Lakes Cottage with amazing views March, April

£100 off our Lakes Cottage  with amazing views for two prime spring weeks. It’s an excellent offer!

The week from Saturday 25 March to Saturday 1 April was £690, but we’ve reduced it to £590. Up to 4 guests can stay there at this rate. We also welcome a “well behaved” dog. (all our guests tell us their dogs are well behaved). This week should be an excellent time to visit the Lakes. British Summer Time will begin on Sunday 26 March, sunset will be 7.40 pm which means it will stay light until at least 8pm. Can’t wait!  The thought of sitting out on Brockstone terrace in the evening with a glass of wine (or maybe a local beer) after a day’s walking, surveying the hills, lakes and mountains is delightful.

School holidays don’t begin until 1 April, so this will be one of the quieter spring weeks.

We think that the daffodils should still be out. They are looking beautiful right now, but we have lots of late varieties too so they will probably still be around in two weeks time.

Of course, Sunday 26 March is Mothering Sunday.  If you’re stuck for a last minute gift for your mum this year….a week in the Lakes?

The other week that we have reduced is from Saturday 22 April until Saturday 29 April. This week is available due to a cancellation. The rate was previously £790, but we have reduced it to £690.

If you read the next blog post down you’ll see that this should coincide with the bluebells. More pictures of bluebells below, along with some other photos taken in the last week of April. These are taken on the beautiful walk from Brockstone Cottage to Rydal Village, and feature St Mary’s church Rydal (Wordsworth was behind the building of this pretty church), and also Rydal Hall. Click here for more information about the Gardens at Rydal Hall.

I’ve forgotten to mentions primroses- a picture below shows a lovely bunch growing near Brockstone Cottage. Photo taken this same end of April week. We hope you’re tempted….
